Exploring the status of Ambedkar’s ‘New India’

Ambedkar was one of the pioneer reformists for women and had a vision ‘New India’. He articulated women’s rights to education, marriage, health through constitutional provisions. This study aims revisit notions Babasaheb on empowerment focusing child health; also, examine current status in present India concerning aforesaid aspects. For portraying women, recent data from National Family Health Survey (NFHS) were analyzed. The results analysis reveal that despite improvement there is still prevailing significant share fertility rate, early pregnancy, spousal violence, violence during pregnancy also which influences directly their condition. evidently indicates reminder every individual general policy-makers particular reinforce women. More importantly, alarming condition rural must be improved by increasing public healthcare facilities awareness education sake Sustainable Development.
